UPSC IFS Result of Main Examination 2017 Declared

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Indian Forest Service Main Examination 2017 Result on its official website A student name Vaibhava Srivastava topped the exam.

The IFS examination was conducted in December 2017, followed by which a personality Test was held in February 2018. The UPSC IFS Result list announced by the UPSC is in the order of merit of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to posts in Indian Forest Service.

According to the press note issued by the UPSC, the number of candidates recommended for appointment to posts in IFS is as below

46 (Including

40 (Including
01 PH-2)
1608 (Including
01 PH-3)
110 (Including 01 PH-2 and 02
PH-3 candidates)

The appointment of the recommended candidates will be made according to the number of vacancies available and fulfilling of other criteria by the Government. Below are the number of vacancies intimated by the Government:

The UPSC in the press note has also said that it has opened a  “Facilitation Counter” near Examination Hall Building in its campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination/recruitment on working days between 1000 hrs to 1700hrs in person or over Telephone Nos. 23385271/23381125/23098543.

  • Click here to go to the official UPSC website.
  • On the homepage, in the ‘what’s new’ section click on the IFS Final result notification
  • It will redirect you to another page where a PDF link is available. Click on it.
  • Search for your name in the list using Control+F Command
  • You can even download the PDF and take a printout of it.

In the press note, the UPSC has said that the marks of candidates are expected to be available on the official website within fifteen days from the date of publication of result.
